I requisiti di sostenibilità dei prodotti da costruzione come motore dell’innovazione
The research investigates the innovation and sustainability of construction products. This study starts from the consideration that the offer of such products and technologies is gaining wider and wider market sectors and finds success thanks to a more and more demand for a building with low energy consumption and respectful of the environment. To address this study, the requirements that characterize the sustainability of products have been defined. These requirements are sometimes already explicit and clearly defined, but it has also been possible to identify certain needs not yet recognized either by the material producers or by the rules and regulations in force. The thesis presents a comparative reading of product certifications, methods of assessing the sustainability of buildings, standards and standards that define the level of quality of buildings, the technological system and construction materials. One of the search results is a map of a series of sustainable product performance. Some sustainability features are known, some are already intrinsic in traditional products and others are not recognized or are not adequately communicated among the actors of the building process. This map and this critical reading allow us to recognize new opportunities for the development of sustainable products.
