Doctoral research

Sustainable and inclusive mobility: User Centred Design applied to the design of a hybrid vehicle with Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (scholarships RER with UniMoRE and DA:UniFe / Ref. Prof. Giuseppe Mincolelli)

"Funded with European Social Fundings of the Operational Programme 2014/2020 Regione Emilia-Romagna: High Competences for Research, for Technology Transfer and Business"

This scientific research is integrated within a wider regional project called “Automotive Academy: a learning by doing project for innovation in vehicle” and planned by different partners in Emilia Romagna related to the automotive industry. The plan intends to develop innovative design solutions aimed to ideate a hybrid fun-eco-drive vehicle. The overall project is divided in four macro work areas, where this research is focused on designing and setting the concept of vehicle body and its features. The research has also think the entire user experience that live around the car taking into account different problems and expectation derived by specific targets. The objective would gather technical data from requirement of users and then use them in favour of designing a sustainable vehicle that takes into account the ergonomic features of people and their expectations in order to have a usable and inclusive research project for different type of utilizer. The aim would also make a collaborative design of a prototype with other partners that it could be subsequently a starting point for further research projects in the automotive field.
