Internationalization

internazionalizzazione

The Department of Architecture has an extensive network of international partnerships and collaborations, currently maintaining more than 60 agreements with European and non-European universities (including institutions in Latin America, India, and Japan) for Erasmus+ Study, Erasmus+ Traineeship, Atlante, and Marco Polo programs. The department also offers a double degree program for the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Product Design (in collaboration with the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná in Curitiba, Brazil) and the international PhD program "IDAUP", in partnership with Polis University in Tirana, Albania.

Each year, dozens of students travel abroad for educational and training experiences, while the department welcomes a growing number of international students (including Free Movers) who choose the University of Ferrara as a preferred destination for a stimulating semester or full-year experience.

Each degree program has an Erasmus Coordinator, a professor or researcher who, in collaboration with the Academic Manager and the Department’s International Mobility Delegate, guides and supports students throughout their international experience, facilitating relations with administrative offices and helping define study paths.

To further enhance its international appeal and in line with the university’s strategic initiatives and funding for the internationalization of education, the Department of Architecture is gradually expanding its range of courses taught in English, including both laboratories and elective courses.
