Profile

Biography
Shahryar Habibi is a licensed architect (Italy), sustainability consultant and researcher. During his doctoral research, he developed a unique and innovative method to investigate interaction between users and environmental parameters for improving comfort, sustainability and smartness in the built environment and won the prestigious prize “Nicolò Copernico 2016” for his innovative thesis in sciences and technologies. Shahryar has gained practical hands on experience through his employment in different universities and companies. He has extensive research experience in the fields of facades, passive house concepts, energy efficiency projects and smart buildings. Currently his research covers the fields of methodologies for designing architectural spaces as smart or intelligent spatial systems. He is still working on designing energy-efficient buildings and He is especially focusing on creating comfortable and various concepts for developing a smart sustainable built environment.

Smart Workplace. Micro-Climatization and Real-Time Digitalization Effects on Energy Efficiency Based on User Behavior

The work aims to explore the use of user behaviour, smart and passive systems to improve energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality (IEQ) in buildings. In order to evaluate the impact of user behaviour on energy consumption, development of an assessment model based on artificial intelligence (AI) can be useful. On the other hand, use of a new concept from artificial intelligence in assessment tools can not only explore the potential benefits of approach but also provide ways to achieve an optimum level of efficiency.
