1st IDAUP International Workshop

The activities of the workshop will be coordinated by the faculty members of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Faculty of Planning, Environment and Urban Management and the Research and Development Institute IKZH of POLIS University. The theme of the workshop will be connected to the Tirana Architecture Week event that will be organized 2014 with the title: (En) visioning future cities. Reflecting challenges of today, inspiring growth of tomorrow. The workshop will have undoubtedly a strong international presence with the participation of important lecturers that will contribute to the formulation of new models of urban development with particular attention to issues of urban and environmental sustainability. The model of the contemporary city, in the different scales of the project, will be in this workshop the inspiration on which to create an alternative of the fast growing city as in the case of Tirana. The PhD students will also have the possibility, according to their respective areas of research, to actively participate to parallel events of the Tirana Architecture Week through scientific conferences, exhibitions and research activities.
